I cannot help but think of our last call two weeks ago. You were in pain and courageously battling for your life, but you would not allow our legal discussion to to dip down into your personal circumstances- you wanted me to get your point - that was what was important.You died as you lived with dignity and a commitment to the notion that ideas were what is important. You made me a better lawyer and a better person. All that aside, you found love and happiness with Debi and Jane and I know it was those relationships you cherished most. I hope the memory of your laugh, exasperations and soulful retorts never leave me until I see you on the other side dear friend.
