Passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 2 at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Judy (nee Alexander) Orlik (2007). Loving father of Jeffrey (Janette) of Penticton, BC, Timothy of Beeton, ON and Mary (Paul) of Dundas, ON. Cherished grandfather of Amy and Evan Hawkins and Mitchell and Selena Orlik. Dear brother of Sophy Cratt (Larry) of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Brother-in-law of Barbara Alexander (late Walter) and the late Jack and Marilyn Alexander. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Alex worked for Bell Canada for over 30 years, retiring at the age of 60. During his retirement Alex travelled extensively with his wife Judy. He worked on the family farm for over 70 years, always taking pleasure being outside in the garden. Alex and Judy operated a fruit stand on Lakeshore Road for over 30 years.
Alex is at the MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent St., Niagara-on-the-Lake, where his family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A memorial service celebrating Alex’s life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 11 a.m., burial to follow in Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. In memory of Alex, those who wish may make a memorial donation to either Autism Ontario (Hamilton Chapter) or Queen Street Baptist Church.
