William "Bill"  Janzen
JANZEN, William “Bill” – Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Pleasant Manor on Monday May 16th, 2016 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Jeannine Janzen (nee Marin). Dear father of Karen McGeough (John) and Ken Janzen. Loving grandfather of Jeanette, Matthew, Jared and Christine. Brother of Jake (deceased), George (Alice), Betty Radunsky (Fred – deceased) and Anne Peters (Hank – deceased). Bill will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Kapuskasing and Pleasant Manor. Bill was born in Russia and came to Canada in 1926, eventually settling in Kapuskasing, where he worked at the Mill for 44 years. He was well known and very active in the community. His final years were spent at Pleasant Manor in Virgil, alongside his brother and sisters. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Pleasant Manor for their excellent and compassionate care. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Friday May 20th from 6-9 p.m. A memorial service and reception will be held Saturday May 21st at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Manor – Creekview Apartments Meeting Room, 1 Pleasant Lane, Virgil. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to Pleasant Manor.
