FURMAN, Helen – Born in Kurów, Poland on December 10, 1925, passed away peacefully at home on October 4, 2015 in her 90th year. Predeceased by her husband Frank (1994). Beloved and precious mother of Chris (Yvan) Guenard, Lillian (late Henry) DiCienzo, Dorothy Witusik (Mirek), Frank Furman, Helen (late John) Harper and Caroline (Greg) Fraser. Adored Babcia of Teri, Mark, Nikki, Lola, Jamie, Ricky, Holly, Frank Jr., Amie, David, Franki, Brittney, and great-grandmother of sixteen great-grandchildren. Thank you to Dr. Elltoft, CCAC, the PSW’s and nursing staff at ParaMed, St. Elizabeth, the St. Catharines and Hamilton General Hospitals, for their compassionate care. The family will receive friends at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Tuesday, October 6 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Vigil will be held at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, October 7 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate Street, St. Catharines, at 11 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Vincent de Paul Church Cemetery. In memory of Helen, donations to the St. Catharines General Hospital or Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church would be appreciated.
