VOORHOEVE, Ronald - Peacefully going home to be with his Lord in his 79th year, after a brave struggle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, Ron passed away on July 30, 2015. Beloved Husband of Josephine and loving father of daughter Sharon Marks (nee Voorhoeve) and predeceased by daughter Astrid Pearce (nee Voorhoeve) in 2002. Opa was loved by grandsons Tristan and Tanner. He will be greatly missed by so many lives that he has touched.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held at Grace Gospel Church, 5855 Valley Way, Niagara Falls, on Thursday August 6, 2015 at 11 a.m. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks for the care and compassion of the Hospice Niagara North Palliative Shared Care Team under the leadership of Dr. Arvinte and the wonderful nursing team on floor 2A at St. Catharines General Hospital, a special thanks to the Palliative Volunteer Team of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Donations to the Canadian Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
