Life Story for Victor Dyck

DYCK, Victor – After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Victor on Thursday December 18, 2014 in the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 67. Predeceased by beloved wife Christine. Loving father of Suzanne Dyck (Alex Vreken). Beloved son of Maria and the late David Dyck. Dear brother of Peter Dyck (Mary), Heinz Dyck, Mary Pankratz (late Henry), Helene Fritz (late Reinhold), Hannelore Krugel (Victor) and Erika Dyck. Dear brother-in-law of Russell Pinder (Chris) of Braintree, Essex, England. Uncle of Mark Pinder (Amie), James Pinder (Rachel), Annette Pinder (Jason Grunwell). Great uncle of Mia Pinder. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Victor was an avid sportsman and participated in many local baseball, and hockey teams. In later years Victor especially enjoyed golfing with friends. Some of his fondest times were spent on his annual fishing trip with his buddies. Many will remember him for his Barbeques, dry sense of humour and generosity.
The family will receive friends at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent St. Niagara-on-the-lake, on Sunday December 21, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A service to commemorate Victor’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 323 Simcoe St., Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Monday December 22, 2014 at 11 am. Cremation has taken place. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to The Walker Family Cancer Centre or to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.
