LAVERICK- Doris (nee Longmoor)
Of Niagara-on-the-Lake, passed away peacefully at the Niagara Falls Hospital on Friday, June 6, 2014, aged 97 years. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Dineley (Doug) and son Eric (Pat) and her sister Vera Daley. Doris, known by all as “Nanny” was married over 50 years to her late husband, William, a veteran of WWII, serving in the Royal Navy. She was proud to be grandmother to six grandchildren and great grandmother to eight great grandchildren. She volunteered for over 20 years at Upper Canada Lodge. She was deeply loved by her family and was happiest when with them. We will miss you Nana. We cannot express how much we love you and how lucky we were to have you as part of our lives. The family will receive friends at Morgan Funeral Home, 415 Regent St., Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Monday from 6-8 p.m. A service to commemorate Doris’ life will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 323 Simcoe St., on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
