OUR INSPIRATION

All who knew Guy, knew what a truly remarkable man he was. He was an inspiration in how one should live their lives. Despite his age he never stopped working at something for more than a few minutes. He lived life to the fullest. During the spring, summer and fall he could always be found outside in his yard tracking down all the stray weeds, mowing his lawn and tending his vegetable garden. Whenever he could, he was off to his lawn bowling club. In the winter he was either out walking or clearing snow. Guy was not a man who easily accepted the offer of help as he was determined to be able to do things himself. He was able to rig up almost any odd tool he needed to use. He was still able to do his own plumbing, including installing new toilets and vanities - all on his own. He spent a month this winter working on renovations to a home he bought in France. He had a great sense of humour and loved to spend time just chatting. Guy never forgot anyone and was always checking in to see how everyone was feeling. We are going to miss him so much. He has been a fixture in our lives for close to 30 years when we built our homes together. Guy, you will now be reunited with Betty who you missed so much since her passing. We will never forget you.
