Edmund John North
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John at the age of 81. He was loved dearly by his wife Barbara, his daughter Lee Ann and his son Owen. He will be missed by his son-in-law Andy, his two grandchildren Michael and Graham, as well as his extended family in the UK.
Born in 1927 in Bath, England, John later served in the British Army in the Signal Core for 5 years. Upon coming to Canada in 1952, he spent most of his career working as an Engineer for Ontario Hydro. John had many passions over the years including photography, boating, hunting and golf. John and Barb spent many years travelling the globe in their retirement years.
John will be missed by many and will be talked about fondly and often by family and friends. You are truly loved and will be sadly missed by all.
Cremation will have taken place. Visitation will be held at Morgan Funeral Home (415 Regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, www.morganfuneral.com) from 2-5 pm on Saturday, January 31st, 2009. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
