Laird, Raymond Johnston - Raymond Johnston Laird has died peacefully after a short illness on Tuesday December 5 at Niagara Falls General Hospital, two weeks after his 91st birthday. Predeceased by his dear wife of 59 years, Gertrude, and survived by his four loving children - Rosemarie (Tony), Ralph (Susan), Mark (Laura), and Martina (Andreas). Dear grandfather of Aron, Fiona, Samuel and Kate, and great-grandfather of Kyle, and Kennedy. Beloved Uncle to his nieces and nephews in Canada, the U.K. and Europe. Raymond is survived by his sister Rena Bisset of Scotland and predeceased by his brothers Charlie and Sydney of Scotland and Ian of Scarborough, Ontario.
Heartfelt thanks from his family to the staff at Pleasant Manor who made Raymond comfortable in his life there. Private arrangements with cremation have been entrusted to Morgan Funeral Home. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to Ostomy Canada and Niagara Health Foundation.
