Condolence: Dear Judy and Steve,

When I was a child and my family was visiting St. Catharines, my Dad (John) would always make a trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake to visit our Aunt Elizabeth. One might think that a kid may not be to keen on visiting a great Aunt, but there was always something special about your Mum that made those visits enjoyable and meaningful.

When I grew up, got married, and had kids of my own, I brought them to St. Catharines to visit family and I made sure to bring them to Niagara-on-the-Lake to meet their Aunt Elizabeth. The warmth and welcome of her home was exactly as I remembered.

Although we haven't been out that way in a number of years, I often think of your Mum and remember fondly those visits from my childhood. I was very sorry to hear of her passing. She will be missed, but she will also always be lovingly remembered.

My deepest sympathies, Doug Nesbit

Condolence: Dear Judy and Steve

Thank you for sharing the news about your mother. I will always remember her kindness and her smiles when we would come home to Niagara and go for a visit and tea. A visit with Aunt Elizabeth was always first on John's list of things to do and I don't think in all the years that we ever missed a trip down to Niagara. She was a very special lady.
I am sorry I cannot be there for her memorial but please know that we are there in spirit, thinking of you all.
Sincerely.. Cathie Nesbit

Condolence: Dear Judy, Steve, and family:

Elizabeth lived next door to my grandparents,John and Emma Haines for many years. The first five years while my father was overseas I lived there as well. Your mother always had time for me as I was growing up and we talked on the telephone to each other during my married life. I always called her Queen Elizabeth because there was something Regal about her not to mention her beautiful blue eyes. She will live on in your lives, good memories will never be forgotten.
