Doug Nesbit

Dear Judy and Steve, When I was a child and my family was visiting St. Catharines, my Dad (John) would always make a trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake to visit our Aunt Elizabeth. One might think that a kid may not be to keen on visiting a great Aunt, but there was always something special about your Mum that made those visits enjoyable and meaningful. When I grew up, got married, and had kids of my own, I brought them to St. Catharines to visit family and I made sure to bring them to Niagara-on-the-Lake to meet their Aunt Elizabeth. The warmth and welcome of her home was exactly as I remembered. Although we haven't been out that way in a number of years, I often think of your Mum and remember fondly those visits from my childhood. I was very sorry to hear of her passing. She will be missed, but she will also always be lovingly remembered. My deepest sympathies, Doug Nesbit
