Condolence: Vera was an integral part of so much of our community over the years. I enjoyed the times spent with her at the Niagara on the Lake Hospital Auxiliary and admired Vera's dedication to all the tasks she undertook. She was a grand lady and will be missed by all who had the opportunity to meet and know her. We offer our condolences to Vera's family at the loss of this kind and special Lady. RIP Vera.

Condolence: To Vera's family I want to relay a story about this wonderful woman. Vera and I took Dancefit together for a number of years way back when..... We would stand in the back of the class and do our own thing while laughing a lot. We exercised somewhat but had more fun watching than benefiting our bodies with movement! This typifies her view of life: have fun and do your own thing! I will always remember her as a warm, caring lady with a good sense of humour.

Condolence: We are presently in Cairo, Egypt. So many memories of Vera from the bridge table to the hospital auxiliary to the golf club, she always kept us on our toes. Vera had a great sense of humour and loved a good chat over a cup of tea and cake. Vera was always there to help and her wealth of knowledge about the town was unparalleled. A very sad loss for Niagara-on-the-Lake. Our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy, Al.

Condolence: Al, Mark & family, I was sad to learn of Vera's passing. I cannot think of her without smiling, I can picture her clearly in March of 2010 - I was in a waiting room at Juravinski (waiting nervously with a family member) and this heard this familiar voice, then saw Vera.... in less than a minute she had us laughing & joking, had explained the ins and outs of what our next few weeks would be.... I offered to drive her for her treatments, she assured me she had a system in place and knew her driver would get her home just into for dinner... I wasn't about to mess up what she had organized, I learned long ago not to mess with a Cooper!!! She was well loved, and will be missed.

Condolence: I was so sorry to hear of Vera's passing. My condolences to the entire family. Vera was such a special lady! She was so involved in supporting her church, her NOTL community and the NOTL Golf Club. She was a wonderful mother and wife which was so easy to see. Vera was so kind and friendly with a warm sense of humour. I have known Vera since I was 12 when I began working at the golf course. She joined the pro in teaching us how to play and 57 years later she still reminded me to "follow through". She supported me in my golf career and she was always encouraging me even during my many golf collapses. The one story that few know is this. Vera told me that she was hoping to still be living to see me win the men's golf championship. Well in 2011 it finally happened and Vera was right there smiling and congratulating me when I won. I remember acknowledging Vera in my short speech. You couldn't help but love her! I and so many others have been blessed to have known Vera. My prayers are with the family on the passing of this wonderful lady. I will miss her but I will try to "follow through" every time I play the game she loved.
