Life Story for Adriana Petronella Jacoba Marynissen (Timmermans)

Adriana Petronella Jacoba Marynissen (Timmermans)
Marynissen, Adriana Petronella Jacoba Timmermans- Peacefully in her sleep May 27, 2017 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital with family at her side. Born in The Netherlands November 21, 1926 to parents Adrianus and Petronella Timmermans, she was the second of five daughters. Adriana and husband John Marynissen (2009) took a brave leap in 1952 and emigrated to Canada to start a new life. In 1953, they purchased a farm on Concession 1 Niagara on the Lake that eventually grew into Marynissen Estates Winery. The mother of five children, Anne (Nicholas), Anthony (1981), John (Dawn), Thomas, Sandra (Glenn), she still found time to work in the vineyards and enjoy an occasional glass of red wine. Grandmother of Melissa, Christopher, Simon, Leeanne, Jessica, Harmony, Grace and Jamie. Great Grandmother to Isabella, Alice and Dexter.
Adriana loved to travel and explored many wine regions with husband John. After his passing, she discovered a love of cruises and the sunsets of the Caribbean. She was active until the last, going to lunches with her friends in her little red Mini. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Niagara Falls hospital.
Adriana is at Morgan Funeral Home, 415 Regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake where her family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 31 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 73 Picton Street, NOTL on Thursday morning, June 1st at 11 am. Interment with Rite of Committal to follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
