Life Story for Dorothy Rose McShannon (Laskey)

McShannon Dorothy Rose (nee Laskey) - On Monday May 8, 2017. Dorothy of Niagara-on-the-Lake quietly passed away in her 84th year. Beloved wife of 66 years to David McShannon. Survived also by her children Susan (Garry), Sheryl (Al), Ken (Marisa) and Rob (Cheryl). Dear Gramma to Jackie, Stacey, Jesse, Victoria, David, Robert, Ashley and Ryan. Eldest sister of Shirley, Gloria (Tody), Sheila and Debbie (Ed), sister in law Joyce, brothers in law Al and Bruce. Predeceased by sisters Marilyn, Sandie, brother Gordie, brothers in law Layton, Doug and nephew Keith. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Harry and Violet (Lambert) Laskey. She also knew the joy of many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dorothy is resting at Morgan Funeral Home, 415 Regent St. Niagara-on-the-Lake where family will receive friends on Thursday May 11th 7-9pm. A service will be taking place at Morgan Funeral Home on Friday May 12th at 10 am with burial to follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. In honour of Dorothy's love of animals in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society.
