Life Story for Eda Serafina Dyck (Bartolotti)

DYCK, Eda Serafina - Passed away suddenly, surrounded by her husband Jake, eldest daughter Jill and dearest and best friend of Jill, Maureen Anderson, at the Hamilton General Hospital on Sunday March 5, 2017 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of Jake for 56 years. Loving “Momoli” of Jill Tristen and the late Stacey Dyck (2006). Survived by sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Thanks to Judy and Kenny, Sandra, Robert and Debbie and many close friends for their help and support throughout these difficult days. Predeceased by her parents Frances and Joseph and brother Rennie, all of Coleman, Alberta. Eda worked as a Registered Nurse at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Hospital for 38 years, retiring at the age of 57. After that she pursued a passion for quilting and enjoyed her time with the “Group-of-Seven-Quilters” who were special friends. They enjoyed many quilting retreats and excursions throughout the years.
Cremation has taken place. At a later date her daughter will spread her ashes on Turtle Mountain in Coleman, Alberta, a spot where Eda had fond memories from childhood and time spent with family. The family will receive friends at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent Street, Saturday March 11th from 2 - 4 p.m. Donations to the Mark Preece Family House would be appreciated.
