HUNT, Derek Charles - It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Derek on Monday, December 12, 2016, at the Welland Hospital, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of late Doreen (1997). Loving father of Shane (Elana) and Martin (Cathy). Dear grandfather of Kylie, Devon and Ashley. Derek served in the Royal English Merchant Navy and came to Canada in 1964. He retired as a supervisor from General Motors after 25 years of service and was a long-time member of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Sailing Club.
The family will receive friends at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent St., Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 1-3 p.m., with the service at 3 p.m. For those who wish, memorial donations to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
