Catherine Ruth  Stevens (Tait)
STEVENS, Catherine Ruth (nee Tait) - Of Niagara-on-the-Lake, in her 88th year, passed away peacefully on July 25th, 2016 at Greater Niagara General Hospital. She is survived by her son Harvey and her sister Beverley (Eugene) Snider, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Bernard Stevens. She was also predeceased by her parents Alexander and Violet Tait, her sisters Rena (Elijah) Armstrong, George (Gladys) Tait, Hilda (George) Dorland, Annie (Cecil) Boyle, and Alexander (Catherine) Tait. Catherine was a long time member of St. Davids – Queenston United Church Women, Virgil Women’s Institute, Niagara-on-the-Lake Supper Club and the Albainn Society.
The family will receive friends at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent Street, Friday July 29th, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Davids - Queenston United Church, 1453 York Road, St. Davids at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 30th, 2016 with interment at the St. Davids - Queenston United Church Cemetery and a reception in the Church Hall to follow. If desired, memorial donations to St. Davids - Queenston United Church or the Canadian Diabetes Society would be appreciated by the family.
