Life Story for Thomas Clark Gould

Thomas Clark Gould, 1931- 2016, died at home in Niagara on the lake on July 21. A lion of Canadian journalism and lifelong warrior for truth, he covered every major news story for four decades, from Ottawa to Viet Nam and the U.N., in fact, on every continent, bringing a hard edged clarity to Canadian news. After a storied career in the newspaper industry, he became a pioneer and recognized leader in television journalism, in reporting, broadcasting, and serving as Vice-president News at CTV.
Tom wishes to be remembered as the proverbial "Alberta cowboy". Survived by his wife and best friend, Jodey Porter, his beloved children, Thomas Gould, Nancy Dery and Shannon Feldman, their partners, Carrie Nimmo, Michael Dery, Christian Gaudette, and six exceptional grandsons.
A celebration of his life will take place on September 24 at St. Mark's Anglican Church in Niagara on the lake at 2 PM.
