Life Story for Wesley Ernest "Wes" Glauser, P. Eng.

Wesley Ernest "Wes" Glauser, P. Eng.
WES GLAUSER, P. Eng. - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wes Glauser, age 73 on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Wes showed great determination and strength over the last year and a half as he battled leukaemia. Loving husband and best friend of Audrey, wonderful father and mentor to Carl (Karen) and Neal (Anna) Glauser. Much loved Gramps to Ben, Taylor and Emma. Dear brother of Linda (Wayne) and Janet (Brian), brother-in-law Bob (Sue) and Joan (George) as well as several nieces and nephews.
Prior to moving his family to Niagara-on-the-Lake in 1973, Wes grew up in Pointe Claire, Quebec. Wes was a graduate of the University of New Brunswick and had a long and rewarding career as a civil/structural engineer, working with several consulting companies throughout the Niagara region. He had a love of sports, especially golf, and was a past member of Twenty Valley Golf Club and present member of Niagara-on-the-Lake Golf Club. Wes coached minor hockey and played hockey for many years, most recently with the Sunday morning Wallbangers. His most memorable year was when he played with son Carl and grandson Ben on the Glauser line. He was a dedicated Montreal Canadian fan throughout his life. Wes enjoyed travelling, biking, hiking, canoeing, swimming, and the great outdoors. He loved music and being with his family. Wes leaves behind many great and long-time friends and will be missed by all. A special thank you to Dr. Qawi, Dr. Bastedo, CCAC and Niagara North Palliative Shared Care Team and Nurse Irene.
The family will receive friends at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent St., Niagara-on-the-Lake on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Wes’ Life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Canadian Blood Services.
