Condolence From: Phyllis Robb
Condolence: Dear Christine and Alex,

I am so saddened to know that my longest friend is no longer with us and I send you my very deepest sympathy. Mary Elizabeth and I were friends in Port Cartier, QC growing up and we sure had fun getting into trouble; crazy camping trips, biking to Sept Isles all with loads of giggling and laughing. She and I both ended up working in Schefferville, QC which was a thriving company town in the early 60's.

Over the years we went our separate ways but always stayed in touch. My husband and I drove to San Francisco from Vancouver to meet little Alexander when you lived there. Every time we got together we just continued where we left off having more fun.

Shortly after M.E. had the news of her diagnosis, she came to Calgary and we went out to lunch to the best restaurant in town. At that point she was still so hopeful the medical team would find a cure, as we all were.

On Dec. 20th, 2015 following a morning talk with Christine, I called back in the afternoon and was amazed at how talkative and lucid M.E. sounded. We talked for over 15 minutes and I treasure those minutes dearly!

Alex, Christine and all the rest of the family have lost a wonderfully supportive and loving mother. The rest of us will miss her infectious laughter, lovely smile and willingness to live life to the fullest. A great lesson to us all!!

Very sincerely,
Phyllis

Condolence: My sincere condolences to Liz's family. I have just learned of the loss to our world of the always delightful Liz whom I admired for so many reasons. Our little Town has lost a beautiful soul whose wonderful smile and great presence will be so missed. Last time we met was on the back deck of the local coffee shop when Liz's brother was visiting and I had the very good fortune to truly see and sense the great dignity and quiet courage which Liz so fully possessed. Truly saddened to learn of the passing of a woman who was always a pleasure to see, if only for short moments at a time.

Condolence: Our heartfelt condolences go out to Liz's family. We first met Liz & Nick 16 years ago when we all formed a hiking group in NOTL (which is still going strong (albeit without us at this point). Both were great fun to hike with and Liz always had a smile on her face and experiences to share. She was really a lovely person.

Condolence: Dear Alex, Christine, your families, Jim and Len,
We send you our most sincere condolences. Liz was a fellow hiker and friend. She had a generous spirit, rarely visiting our home without a gift, often of the horticultural variety, including now thriving gooseberry bushes and heirloom tomatoes in the spring.
We will miss her lively conversation and sense of humour at picnics, crib games and dinners.

Condolence: To Christine, Alex and families,

Our deepest sympathies to you on the passing of your dear Mom. We so enjoyed your Mom's (and late Dad's) love of family and spirit of adventure! Liz always loved life, sharing her warm, engaging personality. We are blessed to have been neighbours in Oakville for so long. Many wonderful times there and here in Bala, Muskoka! We miss her dearly.
RIP Liz. Love, Marg & Sandy
