Passed away peacefully at Upper Canada Lodge on Wednesday July 29 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Sandra for 55 years. Loving father to Eric and his wife Tina, and Kevin and his wife Katie. Terrific and much loved Farfar to Conner, Cameron, Chelsea, and Cooper. Born in 1935 in Clarke City, Quebec, son of Einar and Margit Overstrom. Carl enjoyed a long architectural career with Acres International in Niagara Falls and for three years prior to retirement with the Government of Bermuda. Throughout his 40 year career Carl forged many long and loyal friendships with his colleagues. Carl will be fondly remembered as a devoted family man and trusted friend to many. During their 55 year marriage Carl and Sandra created a wonderful life together full of family, friends, travel and adventure. His Scandinavian roots were important to him and Carl maintained a close life long relationship with family in the Aland Islands (Finland). ‎With a strong belief in community, Carl contributed greatly as a volunteer to numerous local organizations throughout his lifetime.
