ZIMMERMANN, Nick – With great sadness we announce the passing of Nick, on August 11, 2013 at the age of 82. Born in Germany and immigrated to Canada in May 1959 with his wife Else to seek a better life. He worked at W & W Electric for a few years and then at GM for 25 years, retiring in 1989. He leaves behind his children Ron (Barbara), Ray (Tracy) and Annette Janzen (Wayne). He was a loving Opa to Alyssa, Eric, Derrick, Ryan and Alesha. Special thank you to nurse Linda Serre for taking care of Opa.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent Street, Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel Thursday at 11 a.m. The family would appreciate donations to St. Catharines Hospital or St. Elizabeth Health Care.
