ISTCHENKO, Else (nee Reimer)- Peacefully after a brief illness, on April 17, 2012 at Chateau Gardens in her 93rd year. Survived by her husband Alexander and her six children, Luise Penner (Wes), Irma Purchase (Wayne), Eddy (Rhoda), Alex (Marg), Victor (Muffy) and Wally (Catherine). She will be missed by all who knew her, especially her 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, dear sister Liesel Schulz (Hans) and loving nephews Henry Froese (Jane) and Waldimar Reimer (Marg). The family is especially grateful for the wonderful and caring staff at Chateau Gardens during mom’s short stay.
Else is at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Chapel of the Morgan Funeral Homes, 415 Regent Street where her family will receive friends on Sunday, April 22 from 2-4 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday morning, April 23 at 11 o’clock. Interment to follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery.
