Life Story for Dayle Autumn Ashford (Ashford)

Dayle Autumn Ashford (Ashford)
Ashford, (Lincoln) Dayle Autumn
Following a valiant battle with cancer, passed away peacefully on January 27th 2012 in her 73rd year. Born in North Bay, Ontario, Dayle was the cherished mother of Wendy, Sharon, Janet, Ronda, Randy and Abby, and stepmom to Craig and Johnny. Loving grandmother to 23 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren! She is survived by her sister, Heather Ashford-Williams, of Lethbridge, Alberta and pre-deceased by her brother, Dean Ashford of St. Catharines.
We will remember Mom’s laughter, how special it was to be in her company at the many family celebrations and her fun-loving spirit. She taught us generosity, acceptance and how to squeeze the very most from every moment. Our many memories will live on through her children and grandchildren as well as her many caring friends.
The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at McNally House who treated Mom with such dignity and comfort in her final days, Dr Marshall, her team and Dr Timko for the care and respect they gave Mom and finally, the amazing volunteers and nurses for their compassion and support for both Mom and our family.
Private family service to be held. At Dayle’s request, a Celebration of her life will take place at Caroline Cellars Winery, Niagara-on The-Lake on Saturday February 4th beginning at 2:00pm until 4pm. Please join us to celebrate Dayle’s amazing life.
A birch tree has been memorialized in her name and we invite you to visit Niagara Lakeshore cemetery, her final resting place. If desired, donations to the McNally House in Grimsby would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences may be made at www.morganfuneral.com.
